Good life | Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It’s Anna here with my last inspiration created with July 2016 Hip Kits. I have a layout and a card for You. They are both filled with exclusive items designed by Kim Watson.

I created my layout using a lot of fussy cutted flowers. I acually cut whole paper to get all the flowers I could. I chose one of the papers from the Main Kit called “Crazy daisy”. The flowers have this artsy touch. I used them to create a frame around my picture.

Frame created with flowers is quite busy so I needed come calm patterns for my background. I combined Illustrated Faith paper with another exclusive one designed by Kim. I used a lot of 3D foam squares to layer the flowers and other elements.

My title is created with words from exclusive ephemera pack designed by Kim Watson. You can find one in Main Kit and one with the words in Embellishment Kit.

I finished my composition with wood veneers form Fancy Free collection, some exclusive flair button and few little chipboard stickers from Becky Higgins. You can find them in Project Life Kit.

My second project for today is a card. I thought that it would be fun to create one using exclusive washi tape sheet from Project Life Kit to add a colors and patterns.

I also had few flowers left after I made my layout. I added them in three spots along with an exclusive puffy sticker from Embellishment Kit. And the bonus is that I used the rest of washi so no waste of precious embellies ūüėÄ

That’s all for today. I will be back to You next friday on Facebook.

Thank You for stopping by.

XO Anna

July sketch + Pocket Letters| FLORA MONIKA FARKAS

Hi Everyone! It’s Fl√≥ra here with a new layout and a Pocket Letters.

First about the 12″ layout. For this I used the July Hip Kit sketch designed by Ashley Horton. It’s just so stunning, isn’t it? I wanted to make a fun, colorful summer layout. Probably it could be more¬†masculine, but I was¬†not bothered with the diversity of the page.

friendship hkc

First I cut out the arrows with Silhouette Cameo and then backed them with the Pink Paislee РFancy Free РPaper 06 from the June Main Kit.

friendship 2

For embellishing I used a lot of HKC Exclusive Everyday Day Ephemeras Рdesigned by Kim Watson. They are perfectly fit to the colors of the pattern paper. I love that the package includes titles, word labels and floral shapes as well. My other favorite from Jun Kits are the Simple Stories РCarpe Diem  РClear Stickers from the Project Life add-ons. As my photo had some blank space I adhered there few of the stickers randomly.

friendship 4

In the end I complete my layout with colorful Simple Stories РSunshine & Happiness РEnamel Dots. I really like the result. And I think HKC June Kits are my favorite so far, they are excellently selected.

friendship 3

In the process video you can check how I put together the layout.

My second project for today is not a Project Life even if this has also pockets. I have just sent out a Pocket Letters to my scrap friend, thought I would show you. For this I used the leftovers from the May Kits.

pocket letters hkc

I used bits and pieces from all the kits like HKC Exclusive papers,¬†HKC Exclusive ‚Äď Meadowbrook ‚Äď Ephemeras, ¬†Jillibean Soup – Wood Veneers,¬†Illustrated Faith ‚Äď She Blooms ‚Äď Chipboards and¬†Enamel Hearts. In the back of the pockets little gifts are hidden and a letter as well.

I also created some kind of hanging tag as a decoration just to spice up the project. ¬†Have you ever made a Pocket Letters? It’s so fun to create it and of course get it. You definitely have to try. ūüėČ

That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Love to party | Anna Komenda

Hello Hip Kit fans. It’s Anna here with my last project created with may kits. Today I want to show You mini pocket album that I created during live stream on my YT channel. You can watch the recording here >>> click.

I used Studio Calico 6*4 inch pocket album and filled it with pictures from my daughter’s third birthday party.

I mixed pictures with exclusive¬†cards from Project Life Kit¬†and papers from Main Kit. It’s and eclectic mix of big variety of embellishments. sequins and alpha stickers.

I didn’t embellish the cover of the album so I decided to create a “welcome” page. I used “3” as it was third birthday party. The baloon from exclusive puffy stickers from Embellishment Kit was a perfect match to the party theme.

I created a lot of sealed pockets filled with sequins and glitter. I used Fuse tool to close them but You can also use the sewing machine.

Little wood veneers from Jillibean Soup from Project Life Kit were just perfect as a confetti type filling of my pockets.

I also loved the exclusive puffy alpha stickers that were included in the Main Kit. The navy color is just gorgeous.

I also used the acrylic arrows as a filling of my pockets. They look good from the both sides so creating a shaker pocket was really easy.

My favourite piece in all the kits were exclusive ephemeeras designed by Kim Watson and chipboard stickers from Illustated Faith. They were both included into the Main Kit.

And last but not least – mini placements from Jillibean Soup included in the Project Life Kit. You can use them in so many creative ways. They are white so You can color them. they are 3*4 size so they are perfect for Your PL albums.

Those are only few pages of my album. It You are curious how it all looks together, You are welcome to watch the walkthrough video.

Thank You for stopping by and see You next friday on Facebook.

You Shine Bright | Raquel Bowman

Hey everyone, Raquel here today with a new layout featuring the gorgeous May Kits. For this layout I was inspired by the geometric design of one of the exclusive papers by Kim Watson so I decided to create a similar design in a colour palette of my choice from the kits. I focused on yellow, grey and navy tones.

Here is the layout I created:

shine bright

I used one of the exclusive cut files for June on this layout and created a white card stock and vellum light bulb. I backed the bottom of the bulb in the spot from the exclusive striped paper. The top part of the bulb I just backed with vellum. I love the transparent look it gives, and it also allows you to be able to read the white ‘shine’ text.

I also added veneer arrows to direct your attention inwards to the title and then flowing to the photo.

shine bright-1

I created a cluster to the right of my photo. It contains some of the exclusive ephemera, that gorgeous Bella Boulevard Bow, a Bella Boulevard enamel hearts, and some Jillibean Soup veneer.  shine bright-2

I also added a puffy sticker scalloped border under my photo layers. I love how cute it looks!shine bright-3

The photo layers are mainly patterned papers with a doily from my stash. I have adhered the whole photo mat to the page with foam. shine bright-5

I machine stitched around the edges of the paper pieces to give a little more detail and definition to each piece. I then simply folded in the edges to add some dimension. shine bright-6

In terms of design this layout is a little different for me as it is using a lot of patterned paper, however I hope you have enjoyed this post today. shine bright-4

Also just incase you missed it, I uploaded process video for the layout I shared last week on Facebook to YouTube, you can watch it below

I used the gorgeous HKC Exclusive Papers from May Paper Kit. I love all of them, especially¬†the yellow one (of course). ūüėÄ To create the fringe I used the Martha Stewart Fringe scissors.

For embellishing I used the lovely HKC die cut flowers and HKC Exclusive puffy stickers. I completed the design with the Illustrated Faith chipboards.

I am huge¬†fun of the big word titles like the¬†Bella Blvd ‚Äď Today Chipboard Word Stickers from the May Embellishment Kit.

And here is the process video! I hope you will like it! ūüėČ

I also have a Project Life spread for you. This time I used lots of vivid colors. I really like the result. The May HKC Exclusive Project Life Cards are outstanding, I am totally into them.  As usually I just used minimal tiny embellishment.

This is my title card for week 17. Here is a little tip how to transform alpha stickers to numbers. As you¬†see I used “I” and “L” letters to create the number 17.

I hope you like my new layout and PL spread. Have a nice week and take some time to create ! ūüėČ

Walk With Me Mummy | Raquel Bowman

Hey everyone, Raquel here today with another layout using the May kits. My theme for today is supersize it, so I have decided to show you how you can use the background cut files on both a layout and a card.

The photo in my layout was taken while my little girl and I were holding hands walking on a Sunday outing together as a family. I love that she loves holding my hand¬†and so I just had to stop and snap a picture. I haven’t added any journaling to the page, but I was thinking I may record a few feelings on the back of the layout before I pop it into an album.

As you may have noticed this layout is made up of A LOT of Hip Kit Club exclusives. I really just can’t get enough of them this month! The majority of the florals on this page were fussy cut out from one of the papers. I then further embellished with a couple of exclusive ephemera, a Bella Boulevard Bow and some enamel dots by Echo Park Summer Party collection.¬†walkwithmemummy-1

I added the date the photo was taken using a roller date stamp in my stash and some black ink. I wanted to add a little more detail to the strips of paper on the layout. I used the strips of paper as a way to ground my photos and groups of embellishments to the layout. I used my fringe scissors and cut a fringe along it to add the detail I was after. walkwithmemummy-2

The floral pieces were fussy cut from the exclusive paper designed by Kim Watson. In doing this fussy cutting I came to the conclusion that I need to invest in some appropriate fussy cutting scissors! I layered in a few of the exclusive ephemera into this cluster too. And a cute puffy sticker heart!walkwithmemummy-3

I am always a scrapbooker who leaves the title to last. Sometimes while creating I have absolutely no idea where I might place a title. It is always one of the most challenging parts for me. I knew I wanted to have a title similar to what I have used, but it can be so hard sometimes choosing where to place it as you still want to have a balanced layout design. I ended up wrapping it around the circle of the die cut background designed by Ashley Horton. walkwithmemummy-4

This layout sure is multi dimensional; there is foam under the background, under the photo mat and under the ephemera pieces. walkwithmemummy-5

Wow, these florals in the kit sure do just make me smile! walkwithmemummy-6

Now onto the card! As I mentioned earlier, I have created a card where I have used the same background cut file but shrunk it down to around 4×4″ in size. I then backed it on some patterned paper, added a couple of paper layers and mounted in onto a card base made from the butter card stock in the kit.¬†happycard

The embellished details are mainly the Jillibean Soup veneer and hip kit exclusive ephemera. happycard-1

I hope this post today has shown you how versatile the background cut files can be! Thanks for visiting!

Layout with DIY embellishments| FLORA MONIKA FARKAS

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing well. For today post I made a few DIY embellishments. I will be honest and admit I have never done anything like this before but I see a lot of you like it so I gave it a go.

she blooms hkc

I cut out several squares with square die set and my Sizzix. For this I used different patterned papers from the May Main Kit. Then I look through all my Sizzix dies and search some shapes what can be useful for this layout. I found butterfly, camera, arrow and heart in the right size so I cut out few pieces of each and then I started to play. I combined them with HKC exclusive ephemera bits from the May Main Kit as well.

she blooms1

I tried to create few layers on every small project and add¬†¬†dimensions with foam tape. In the and I adhered tiny¬†Echo Park ‚Äď Summer Party ‚Äď Enamel Dots and¬†¬†Jillibean Soup ‚Äď Navy Blueberry Self Adhesive Sequins. I finished my layout with journaling and adding some yellow¬†splotch created with¬†Shimmerz – Coloringz Vibriant Mist – No Yolking from the April Color Kit.

Anyway this layout is about my niece and her first lost deciduous tooth. I hope you like my first DIY embellishments and the layout I created with them.

she blooms2

I also have a PL spread for you. I love the May Project Life Kit because of the colorful cards and perfect embellishments like Jillibean Soup ‚Äď Life Wordfetti ‚Äď Wood Veneer and Faith Illustrated ‚Äď She Blooms Enamel Hearts. They are small and cute, the best way to jazz up your pockets with them.

For the love of layers!

Hey y’all! Ashley here, back with a couple of projects using those gorgeous May 2016 kits—just makes me all the more excited to receive my June 2016 kits.

This week, I’m focusing on layers. I. LOVE. LAYERS. Sometimes I love a simple layout, but more often then not, I love to add lots of layers to my layouts for extra dimension and interest.

I began with a 12×12 page using the Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, the Paper kit, and the Project Life add-on. I used that beautiful exclusive paper designed by Kim Watson (Meadowbrook) that came in the main kit and paper kit. I diagonally cut that paper and placed it on the left corner of the page. Then, I began to build my layers. Again, I mostly used papers from the Meadowbrook collection along with one of the papers from Jillibean Soup (Healthy Hello Soup) and Illustrated Faith’s She Blooms collection.

I decided pretty quickly that I wanted to use the saying “she blooms” that is printed on one of the 12×12 papers. I used a circle punch and placed on my page, then began punching other circles of different sizes for extra layering. Then, I added embellishments right on top of the punched circles and around the photo. I just love those chipboard pieces that came in our Embellishment Kit and Main Kit that are created by Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith.

This layout is by far on of my faves and I hope y’all love it too!

lots of layers

For my second project, I created a simple mini album page, adding more to my maternity album. This one was kicking off the baby sh0wer section in my album. I simply used the HKC exclusive card, “Hello,” that came in our Project Life Kit. I added some of those amazing HKC navy puffy alphas and of course the other puffies designed by Kim Watson.

In addition, I used a page protector that has one 4×6 and two 3×4 cards. This was super quick and simple to create. I love everything from the little enamel dots by Echo Park to the Jillibean Soup placemats!

I hope y’all love this one too!

Mixing Jillibean Soup with Hip Kit Exclusives | Missy Whidden

Hey there, friends!¬† Missy back with you, and I have another layout to share today using the 2016 May Hip Kits.¬† I decided to start with this bold and colorful Jillibean Soup patterned paper from the Main Kit and Paper Kit.¬† I enlarged one of Kim Watson’s cut files and measured it so my photos would fit perfectly in between the word “laugh.”¬† I went over the surrounding title area with white gesso and then some pink Shimmerz from my stash.¬† I backed the open title area with one of Kim’s exclusive papers and then traced around the edges with a black pen.¬† I initially began this layout wanting to use that big Jillibean Soup camera die cut from the Project Life Kit, so I made sure it was a part of the design.
Laugh Happy
I used some of the No Yoking Shimmerz from the April Color Kit as well as some Creameez from my stash to give this camera a bit of color.  I added a few of the exclusive feathers from the Main Kit to the side of it as well as a few of the Simple Stories wood veneer feathers.  I added pop dots behind it to give it some depth and added even more ephemera.  The She Blooms chipboard flower and exclusive leaves and flair button were the perfect touches here.
Laugh Happy1
At first I wasn’t too sure about all this pink here, but I like how it turned out.¬† I think adding all the fun ephemera made it look so much better!¬† I added some tangled thread, a She Blooms flower cluster and a fussy cut Project Life card piece here.
Laugh Happy2
I have been wanting to add those adorable tiny pink acrylic triangles to a layout, and this was the perfect spot.  I made them into arrows.
Laugh Happy3
Here is one more close-up of the camera.  I truly am loving all of these exclusive pieces this month.  Everything is so creative and beautiful, and the Kims did a fabulous job putting it all together!
Laugh Happy4
You guessed it….I have a process video for you!¬† I hope it inspires you in some way.¬† At first I had my doubts about this page, but I made it work in the end!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
