mini Valentine’s Day album |Justyna Skowron

What is your opinion about Valentine’s Day? Are you fans of that day? Or are you overwhelmed by all those hearts and pink banners? šŸ™‚ I would say I am something in the middle and even though I didn’t have this album in mind, when I saw the January kits, I couldn’t resist šŸ™‚ Almost each year I make a mini with our photos together.

I used the main kit and theĀ embellishment kit. They’re perfect for Valentine’s Day projects! šŸ™‚

Those mini frames are super cute!

I always haveĀ trouble with rub-ons, but thankfully, this time everything went perfect and the butterflies are in one piece šŸ˜€

There are only few photos, because I also made a video, so you can see the whole album there:Ā

using 6 stripes of paper.. Justyna Skowron

Hi! It’s Justyna here. I hope you’re all having a good day.

I’m rather a clean&simple type of a scrapper, so it is no surprise that today’s layout is very simple. I used only… 6 stripes of paper šŸ˜€ I wanted to focus merely on the photo. I really love it in its simplicity. Apart from the two papers from the kits, I used some sandwich wrapper as well šŸ˜€

And this time I didn’t use any pink! December Kits are very pink so I wanted to change the subject for a little bit šŸ™‚

And those tassels from the main kit..! At first I had no idea how to use them, but on our Facebook HKC Member Forum group the girls gave soo many wonderful ideas on how to use them that it was super easy!

Then, some wood veneers and arrows from the PL kit and Embellishment Kit.

I was a bit terrified when I finished with splashing the yellow ink and my favorite blue ecoline (no. 580). It didn’t turn out the way I wanted, but I added some enamel dots and acrylic stars. At first, I wanted to cover the splashes with the embellishments, but then I realised it’s not that bad.

What do you think? I would really appreciate your feedback! And maybe some ideas on how to cover the unwanted splashes? šŸ˜‰

Road Trip | Kim Watson

Road trip photos are so much fun!! Group songs, selfies, sleeping kids…junk food & loads of other memorable moments! I have a project today that I hope will inspire you to haul out those road trip snapshots & scrap ’em!!

Road Trip by Kim Watsonkimwatsonroadtriphkc01

Wanting to create the feeling of driving, I placed everything diagonally across the page. Using the photo strip as a shelf for my little car scene & main title. I love the diagonal strip gives me extra room to add photos.

The American Crafts wood alphas were calling to be jazzed up a little. I did so with red paint. Only painting them to the halfway mark, really gives them a funky vibe! Splattering a little cherry paint top & bottom the page, completes a visual triangle.

Arrows, text & stickers all help the diagonal movement, as well as contribute toward telling theĀ story.

Don’t you love the little yellow rubber taxi & wood veneer arrow…they really ground the design on this side of the page & add a pop of color to the dark, photos. This entire kit makes me SO happy…I love the fun colors & playful patterns & motifs. What better way to document vacation photos?

There are a few of theĀ AugustĀ kits still available in the store…I urge you to grab one if you haven’t already!

Thanks for stopping by…have a super, crafty week ā¤

Must Be Love | Nicole Nowosad

Welcome to the weekend! I received my October Hip Kits and immediately ripped into them! I love the colours and patterns in the kit and got straight to work. This page is actually a quick one that I made using some scraps from another page I started with the kits.

Must be Love

I really wanted to punch all the circles out of the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane paper in the kit, and I did a few realizing that I liked the leftover squares too! So, I trimmed a few of those down and adhered them in a grid like design on my page, adding some embellishments from the kit to each of the open square areas.

The embellishments this month are a huge hit for me! I love the mix of diecuts, puffy stickers and wood veneers, they worked perfectly for this grid design!

Good Coffee | Kim Watson

I hope you are having a great day where ever you might be & are ready for a little creative inspiration? The September kits are soĀ amazing, and are filled withĀ some fabulousĀ products, like the real wood medallions from Amy Tangerine found in the main kit. I was determined to use them on this project! See below how I did that.

Good Coffee by Kim Watson

Pretty paper layers, a little strip of left over printed vellum from last months kit, some paint splatter & chipboard frames were the starting point for this page.
@HipKitClub @KimWatson @crate_paper @americancrafts @HipKitClub @KimWatson @crate_paper @americancrafts

For the title…I took a few of the Dear LizzyĀ Rub-ons & applied them to the wood pieces. The wood pieces then became part of little clusters including some of the pretty Crate Paper stickers found in the September Embellishment kit, A Flair button, cork sticker alphas & other rub-ons.

@HipKitClub @KimWatson @crate_paper @americancrafts The enamel sticker alphas add a gorgeous pop of aqua against the yellow heart papers & woodgrain.

Strips of washi tape fromĀ the embellishment add-on kit, add interestĀ too! I love how Amy Tangerine washi included a few designs with gold foil…perfect for embellishing a teen page.

As you can seeā€¦the September kits are SUPER fun to create with. For more inspiration, be sure to watch the blog & Hip Kit Club facebook page,Ā there are some fabulousĀ projects being uploaded there everyday!

Have a great Monday!!!

Hello Little Moments | Kim Watson

Hey friends…how are you on this fine Saturday afternoon?

I am excited to be able to share my latest Hip Kits page using theĀ June kit & add-ons.

Hello little Moments by Kim Watson
@HipKitClub @KimWatson @fancypantsdsgns @crate_paper  @shopEvalicious #summercrafting #12x12 #layout #scrapbooking

This kit is bursting withĀ so much gorgeous Fancy Pants Designs papers, tags & a mini book pack from the #summersun collection. It is so fresh & summery, making it super easy to put this cute pageĀ together.

@HipKitClub @KimWatson @fancypantsdsgns @crate_paper @shopEvalicious #summercrafting #12x12 #layout #scrapbooking Influenced by the Insta Pack from Fancy Pants Designs, I opted for a grid design for this layout. Each of the 4 clusters, made up of a square of patterned paper, tags, sentiments & sweet embellishments. Recoloring wood veneer sentiments from Evalicious is the best discovery I have made all year. A little watercolor paint in two shades of pink, blended to create an ombre effect…is the perfect way to jazz up a tag.
@HipKitClub @KimWatson @fancypantsdsgns @crate_paper @shopEvalicious #summercrafting #12x12 #layout #scrapbooking Again layers are what make this little cluster work so well. A fussy cut flower, gold glitter sun shape, an acetate chevron accent & tags, seem random, but the colors together help balance their corner & keeping everything flush right…adds tension to the overall design.

@HipKitClub @KimWatson @fancypantsdsgns @crate_paper @shopEvalicious #summercrafting #12x12 #layout #scrapbooking Now for an adorable photo of our sweet little family from some years back. Layering subtle colored tags are the way to really draw attention to it.Ā
@HipKitClub @KimWatson @fancypantsdsgns @crate_paper @shopEvalicious #summercrafting #12x12 #layout #scrapbooking The last cluster makes use of a fabulous card from the Fancy Pants Designs Insta pack…it has tiny pineapples all over it.Ā Roll on SUMMER!!! Craft, off-set with a gold foil die-cut title & gold glitter sentiment, make this corner extra special!

And there you have it…a clean, fresh page filled with super cute papers & accents. I hope you have found it inspirational. If you have…remember to share your pages with the whole gang over in the Hip Kit Club member forum. Here is the link if you aren’t already a member.

Have a fabulous rest of your weekend! See you next time!
