Hey there, friends!  Missy back with you today.  I have another fun layout to share using the 2015 June Hip Kits!  I can’t get enough of these kits.  This is my fifth page using them, and I still have lots of product left to use.  I have been wanting to use the cute flamingo embellishments in the June and May Kits, and I took the perfect photo a few weeks ago on our weekend trip to Las Vegas.  I snapped this picture of the gorgeous Flamingo Hotel & Casino while riding in a taxi, and I love how it turned out!  the colors in this kit match it so well.  I used the Raspberry ink pad in the Color Kit and mixed it with the pink Dylusions Spray Ink from the February Color Kit to create my background, and then worked on my layers and washi tape strips.

I fussy cut one of the Project Life cards that had a tag on it.  I punched a hole in it, added some cord and layered it behind my photo.  I machine stitched over it to add a pop of the lighter blue color.  I layered in some tangled thread and one of those cute gold glittery stars from Freckled Fawn.

I cut my title using the bright pink Begonia cardstock from the Cardstock Kit on my Cameo and then paired it with the navy Thickers.  I also used some gold Color Shine from my stash to color that Evalicious wood veneer.  I also came back in with some of that same gold and some navy Color Shine splatters to tie in all those colors.

Here’s a look at the bottom of the layout.  I pulled a few of the flamingos from the May Kits as well as this “that’s so fancy” acetate piece.  Again, I added machine stitching to tie in the colors.

More flamingos!  These little Crate Paper cards were perfect for this…I was so excited at how well they coordinated.

And finally, a close up look at the washi tape.  I just love it, and it worked perfectly for this layout.  I tore part of that Project Life card because I really loved the sentiment for this.  It just looked to square mixed in with those little cards with rounded corners, so I tore it to make it uneven.

Here’s my process video of how this layout came about if you’re interested….hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Tuesday!
