Two layouts | Terhi Koskinen

Hi all! Terhi here with you today with two layouts. Both are made with gorgeous June Kits. I used June Main Kit, June Embellishment Kit, June Project Life KitJune Cardstock Kit, but most importantly June Color Kit.20150625-IMG_4286

This first layout focus on Avery Elle inks we have in  June Color Kit in yellow and red. I wanted to create a grid pattern on the background, using those inks and a stencil would have been the easiest choice. But a ruler laying on my worktable made me inspired – I used it to create the lines and sharp ink pattern. You’ll find the whole process from the video below.

Once I had the  June Color Kit in front of me, the wood vaneer words from June Project Life Kit got a new look with inks and with clear embossing powder. The clear embossing powder is perfect to add special sheen in items, some of the paper flowers got it too!

This second layout shares a tip of titles on your scrapbook pages. In case you have some simple photo editing software on your computer, or some of the million free apps there are available for mobile phones, why not to use them to write your title or story on your photo.

The photograph on this layout is small, about 2″ x 2″, but it tells so much. It obviously tells the story in the picture, but I highlighted the meaning of the moment by adding the text. I used white font to make sure it’s not too visible and dominating, but it takes your attention for sure.

The background of this layout was simple to make. I used the yellow ink from June Color Kit with a stencil, then stamped some words vertically with Versamark ink and used orange embossing powder to make the words visible.
