Hey there, friends! Missy back with you today. I’m beyond excited to share my first layout using the 2015 August Hip Kits! Seriously, they are just amazing. I know I say that about every kit each month, but these truly are! It was hard to narrow down what to use first, but I decided on this white patterned paper with black grid lines from Studio Calico. I applied some white gesso and used gelatos and spray inks to add some color to the background. I knew right away that I wanted to create a banner using those acetate triangles from Pinkfresh Studio included in the Embellishment Kit…they are so fun! I also used a lot of the Dear Lizzy washi tape roll.
I think these gold Thickers from the Main Kit are my favorite thing this month…oh my gosh! I added this one in as my title on an angle and then worked in my journaling and several embellishments, including a flair button, washi tape, a Pinkfresh puffy sticker, some chipboard & sequins and even a little tag sticker from Heidi Swapp. So many little doo dads this month!
Here’s a look at that fun washi tape. I layered one of those fun rubber embellishments from Pinkfresh, a Heidi sticker label, some tangled thread and enamel dots & sequins. You can also see a bit of the background ink and layers.
I stitched down the triangle banner…and my needle went through them very easily. That cute gold heart is from the Freckled Fawn chipboard sheet. I also used one of the Project Life cards as a layering piece here.
One more close up of the left side. These colors are just so yummy! That dotted vellum behind my photo is another favorite of mine this month 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful Tuesday!
I smile with pure joy whenever I see your layouts. This one is no exception!
